Robert L. Austin, Chairman of the Board, CEO

Bob began his insurance career in 1967.  From 1967 – 1996 he held positions in Marketing, Pricing, and Product Development with multiple insurance companies.  Since 1997, Bob has and continues to operate SPA Consulting and holds contracts for Insurance Marketing, Pricing and Product Development.  Under SPA, he also markets a variety of MGA specialty programs to agents.  Bob also develops Business Plans for insurance and non-insurance business owners, and is one of the key founding organizers of SIMG.

Gladys De La Mora, Executive Vice President, Marketing

Gladys came to SIMG with a plethora of agency and management experience.  As a successful agency owner in her own right, it comes as no surprise with her background in:  Systems, Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Journalism, and Sales Motivation.  Gladys is a recognized author and has been featured in INC. Magazine, Mundofox, NBC, Telemundo, Univision and Radio media.  Fluent in Spanish, she brings an expanded service and sales dimension to our Members and Clients.

Vicki M. Lawrence, Chief Financial Officer

She began her insurance career in 1995 as Office Manager with an international insurance carrier.  In 2001 after much hard and quality work, Vicki received the “Certified Insurance Service Representative” designation.  In 2004 Vicki and partners founded FLS Insurance Agency, LLC as a full lines insurance producer; including Property, Casualty, LAH, and Long Term Care covers.  In process of their swift but controlled growth, FLS acquired and merged another area agency.  They are the quintessential greatly respected and successful sales and service operation, to which their clients are happily accustomed.

John J. Walker, President and Corporate Secretary

John has been with the insurance industry since 1972.  He directed operations of several national financial institutions’ insurance programs, represented carriers in marketing insurance products to Fortune 100 Bank Holding Companies, served as director of product development and insurance operations for fledgling insurance companies, and most recently before joining SIMG, was CEO of a major Midwest MGA.
